I know I’m going to sound like a jerk but if somebody tells me there is good Spanish food outside of say Washington Heights, Spanish Harlem and Fordham I’m less likely to believe you. It’s an experience thing as I’ve grown up being Dominican and lived in NYC my whole life I have been around
I like going into regular places that serve food with or without Plexiglas partition in the way. Sometimes I’ve found the best food from places like this. In New York you see a lot of Tex Mex places which is basically Americanized Mexican food but a lot of the time they are run by Asians.
