I always want to become one with Buddha when it overs good alcohol and great food. Buddha Beer Bar in Washington Heights is my go to in the neighborhood with a large draft beer and bottle selection. Brunch, Lunch or Dinner I’m pretty content with the menu
With brunch I’ve had the Hector’s Picadillo which is ground beef, poached egg served over jasmine rice with sour cream and salsa. The best way I can describe it as is a mexican loco moco. It’s really everything you would want on a Sunday morning after a hard night of drinking on Saturday. Get a draft beer to cure that hangover too.
For dinner, if I’m at a bar I want wings and I want a lot of them. Here they have Hot sauce, blueberry, spicy Chili Garlic, Cider BBQ and Gringo sauces. Yeah I said Blueberry and it actually tastes delicious and not gross like somebody would think. My go to is the Spicy Chili Garlic.
Wings, fries, and some Dogfish head and I’m a happy dude.
Also get their deep fried brussel sprouts topped with caramel chili sauce. Thank me later
